Hello, my name is Bérangère Capelle, I am a French national who has been living in the UK since 1994. I have always been very interested in foreign languages and cultures, and so at school I studied English, Russian, Spanish and Latin for my baccalauréat. In 1994, I got a BA (HONS) in English and Russian. I have taught French for many years, face to face, in a classroom or via Zoom. I also teach English to foreigners, being the holder of the CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

I am very aware that people learn a language for different reasons, so prior to your first lesson we will hold a consultation to discuss your requirements and agree on how best to proceed. I will offer a 30 minute ‘teaching test’ online so you can decide if I am the right teacher for you. I use Zoom, Skype and Google Meet.

In my gap year Berangere tutored me in French, helping build my vocabulary and confidence in the language. She was a very considerate teacher, taking the time to ensure I was making good progress with each session. Berangere also went above and beyond to tailor the content of my tutoring, finding unique resources to further the more niche areas of vocabulary that I was interested in.
